Education CreditsThere are two education credits, the HOPE Scholarship and Lifetime Learning credits. The Hope credit allows a tax credit of $1,800 per year. It is only available during the first 2 years of college. The lifetime learning credit is equal to 20% of the tuition and fee expenses to a maximum of $2,000 per year. It can be used for undergraduate and graduate course work for course work that upgrades your job skills. |
